WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Everyone has ups and downs in life and these glimpses into our lives are what make us who we are. So often though we never take the time to slow down and truly connect with our inner being. We never make time or have the tools to help us cultivate a better existence for ourselves.

I’ve too been in that place and realized that I needed a conduit to freedom. So this is why LiveUrYoga was born! We all have heard that if you do something you love then its not work—it's living your life to its fullest and enjoying every moment. Helping people find their “One Thing" is why I do what I do. Because that “One Thing” is what transforms lives, gives everyone the ability to grow positively, and feel empowered enough to continue the process.

My life was completely transformed into exactly what I desired because of Yoga and Ayurveda, so let’s find your “One Thing”!

Namasté,
Tracy

Tracy Jennings-Hill

Owner/Founder, ERYT 500, C-IAYT, YACEP, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coach,  Jyotish (Vedic Astrologer)

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Tracy found her yoga practice over 20 years ago, as a way to heal after her husband was killed while on active duty.  Her discovery came organically as she was searching for happiness without medications or stimulants.  Yoga helped her begin to rebuild her life and as she was retiring from the US Air Force, she continued to practice.  In addition to healing from her loss, she struggled with sciatica, refusing to take medications  so as a way to help maintain a healthy and balanced mental and physical lifestyle she continued dabbling in different disciplines of yoga, discovering the Vinyasa style,  finding her yoga home.  As she grew to understand the value of the mind/body connection, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a fitness professional but more importantly a yoga teacher, embodying all aspects of both professions.

Subsequently, she attended her first yoga teacher training in April 2001 and became a Teacher trainer for YogaFit in 2007.  Since then not only has she become a 500 ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), but she has also completed her requirements as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), awarded in October 2017.   Tracy is the Ayurvedic program manager and one of the Faculty Mentors for the Yoga Therapy program for YogaFit  where she leads over 20 yoga teacher trainings annually.  Additionally, she is a certified CHEK Institute Holistic LifeCoach (Level 1) and had been a group fitness instructor for over 19 years, with a flourishing career, where she has focused on indoor cycling, muscle strength/ endurance training, with yoga being her love…it made her continue to go deeper in her practice.  So on September 1st 2017, she left her corporate position as a Studio Manager, with Lifetime Athletic, to open LiveURYoga!  In addition to her experience teaching Yoga and Ayurveda, she has completed her initial Jyotish Practitioner Training (300 HR)  in June of 2019.  This addition moves her expertise and understanding of these foundational aspects of both sciences to the next level as a teacher ,practitioner, facilitator and mentor.   As a facilitator, she works with surviving spouses of active duty military members, teaching them the yogic life skills such as meditation, pranayama (breathwork)  and healing movement, that changed her life forever.

As she has grown, LiveURYoga was born and has continued to organically grow.   Her focus, vision and mission is about providing a platform for transformation, empowerment, and growth meeting each person where they are but more importantly giving them the tools to flourish.  Using the basic principles of yoga entwining mind, body and spirit.   This practice includes pranayama, kriya, meditation, movement, connected with the elements incorporating basic Ayurvedic principles to lead everyone to their bliss state, which is a place of true balance.

Finally, her teaching, practice, and mentoring have transformed, do to her extensive travels to Rishikesh, India, the birth place of Yoga.  She has had the pleasure of being the guide for groups since November of 2007 and has consistently studied there on an annual basis since then.  Thus, bringing this authentic aspect to her teachings with a modern day understanding and realistic approach to bringing these ancient teachings alive to be used in our daily lives.

Robin Clark

RYT 200 | Work Trade Program

I came to yoga not through a single pivotal moment but rather from a continuous progressive movement toward internal peace, truth and unconditional love. I know that there is no greater power than love and know that i/we are our best selves when able to sustain that love even through conditions of disharmony and disagreement.  I worked for almost 40 years as a school psychologist/neuropsychologist and it is through this work with children of all ages and unlimited capacities that I have always found myself best able to feel the transformative potential of pure love and acceptance, and the connected Soul of us all.

After retiring from public school, I took the next step in my spiritual journey and education by attending a 200 RYT yoga teacher training.  I completed that and received my certification in December of 2018.  Through Yoga I found a further expansion and transformation of all that I knew thus far to be true.  It is through this integration of mind and body practices with my spiritual nature that I continue to grow and develop.

During the process of my teacher training, I began also the search for a studio that provided that same integration of all of our beings into one – one in ourselves, as well as in our community and our world.  As in every step of my spiritual journey throughout my life, I recognized that in the LURY studio the moment I took my first step inside.  It was soon after the first few classes there that I asked Tracy if I might be allowed to serve the studio in some capacity. It has been my joy and privilege to do that ever since. The thirst and capacity for limitless love, knowledge and understanding that links us all, also leads us ever forward towards our innate, inherent recognition and realization of truth and beauty, and of our single humanity and one human family, I am forever grateful to each of you, and to all those before who allowed me to be, part of our shared journey here  –  love, always, robin

200 RYT/Ra Sekhi Arts 2nd Level Kemetic Reiki Practitioner

A Temple University graduate with a BS in Cultural Anthropology, Yolanda has been

cultivating her gifts as a curator of healing arts since 2011, after receiving a diagnosis of

SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus). In her constant quest for natural remedies to

combat living with a chronic condition, she discovered the transformative power of

Yoga. The devotion to this practice led Yolanda to complete the first of many yoga

teacher training programs in her hometown of Philadelphia, PA.

She enhances her craft by remaining a student at heart, adding layers to her therapeutic

offerings through study and practice with leaders and pioneers in the world of yoga,

herbal medicine, indigenous spiritual teachings and healing arts. It was her natural

intuitive abilities combined with professional training and development that served as

the seeds which would birth Wildflower Wellness Yoga & Botanica.

As an advocate of holistic wellness, my approach is to always highlight the spiritual

aspects of healing, with deep emphasis on the breath, meditation, & mindful

movements. My intention is to create a safe space for all who enter to “Embrace,

Elevate and Evolve”:

EMBRACE your authentic being, ELEVATE your personal practice, EVOLVE into

your highest self!

Sandra O'Reilly

RYT 500 / Yoga Foundations, Power, Yin, Vin & Yin

Sandra was first attracted to yoga as a physical practice that works the body and calms the mind. Early into her practice, she began to suspect that yoga had the power to do much more than provide a physical workout. As her physical practice developed, the breathwork and meditation component of yoga began to develop. This experience led her to believe that yoga can open you to greater possibilities in life by allowing you to see and live authentically.

As a mother of four awesome kids as well as working full time in Medical Device industry, she knows both the challenge and the importance of enjoying family life while having a consistent, daily practice. Sandra has studied with a diverse group of teachers around Atlanta in multiple styles of yoga. She earned her 200 hour yoga certification through studies with Becky Nickerson at Infinity Yoga. She has also completed Off the Mat into the World training with Seane Corn, Suzanne Sterling and Hala Khouri, Inclusivity Training for Yoga: Building Community with Compassion with Dr Chelsea Jackson Roberts, Vipassana Meditation, and is a certified Yoga Shred instructor.

Sandra feels extremely grateful for all the teachers who have challenged her to go deeper in her practice. It is through a slow, steady absorption of her teachers wisdom, as well as daily practice, that she is able to teach the joy in the practice. Through her own life experiences, Sandra has cultivated a warm and energetic style that is welcoming to anyone from the beginner to the advanced practitioner alike. In her classes, expect tapas, humor, adventurous transitions and an energetic flow that challenges and elevates.

Toni Needle

RYT 200 | ERYT 200/160 Hour Meditation Teacher, Slow Flow, Power, Vin & Yin, Yin

" Turn your life around, practice meditation and yoga and watch how everything shifts for the greater good."

Hi my name is Toni Needel and I am an E-RYT 200 yoga instructor as well as a160-hour certified Meditation Instructor. I have been teaching meditation for many years. I started teaching yoga because of the joy that I see from people as their stress starts to melt when practicing yoga. I am a certified Silver Sneakers instructor (both classic and yoga). Teaching to this population speaks to me as I am an "Oldie but a goodie" myself! When I was younger I was a dance teacher (swing) and you might find me playing what are now the oldies as background music in my  classes. I am passionate about being part of the better living movement. I know that calming our minds, moving our bodies, and finding support in each other’s company can be vital as we move along life’s journey.

As for my “job”, I am a trained chef and worked in the restaurant/catering industry for 37 years, but you know what they say, “ The shoemakers kids have no shoes”! You will more likely find me at Trader Joe’s or getting pizza from Cappozi’s and watching bad Hallmark movies on TV than spending time in the kitchen.
